The task was to create new visual identity for Kunsthalle Seinäjoki (Seinäjoen Taidehalli), a place for changing exhibitions in contemporary art and a venue for visual arts in the City of Seinäjoki.
The solution was a logomark merging the letters S and T, the initials of the brand name Seinäjoen taidehalli (Kunsthalle Seinäjoki), that can be paired with the logotype or detached to work on its own as a secondary logo or avatar. The wavy logomark is also a nod to the rural surroundings of Kunsthalle Seinäjoki and the sinuous Seinäjoki river that the city was named after.
The program at Kunsthalle Seinäjoki is affected by topics arising from the countryside and therefore the brand imagery features the new logo mark in the midst of nature thus making the abstract concept of countryside fresh and palpable. The logo is also complemented by a vibrant yet approachable color palette that stems from the wide landscape and rural areas around Kunsthalle Seinäjoki.
